Honda Tests Next-Generation Personal Mobility Vehicles and Solar Charging Stations

Honda has announced that it is planning to start its next-generation Solar Hydrogen Station along with Electric Vehicle Testing Program with Saitama Prefecture.
The entire lot located inside Honda’s Wako Headquarters Campus in Saitama Prefecture is capable of running off solar and standard grid power.
The Solar Hydrogen Station reduces the size of the system, while producing enough hydrogen during an 8-hour overnight fill for daily commuting that is for almost 10,000 miles per year for a fuel cell electric vehicle.
It is intended for ultimate use as a home refueling appliance capable of an overnight refill of fuel cell electric vehicles. It is designed as a single, integrated unit to fit in the user’s garage.
The Electric Vehicle Testing program will primarily focus on motorcycles, automobiles and power products based on electromotive technologies.
The comprehensive program conducted in real-world urban transportation environments will also use advanced communications & telematics and solar-powered charging technologies to make inferences regarding the future of personal mobility and their potential of CO2 emissions reduction.
