China Association of the Electric Vehicle Industry: 16 Chinese Companies Join Forces

The leaders of 16 State-owned enterprises will gather in Beijing on August 18th to establish the Association of the Electric Vehicle Industry.
According to terms of a draft on the association, setting unified standards on industrial technology will be rooted as a short-term goal. For the long run, it will strive to master core electric vehicle technologies and improve the competency of self-owned brands in the global market.
The new association will have members including China First Automobile Works Group, Dongfeng Motor Corporation, China Changan Automobile Group, China Dongfang Electric Corporation, China South Locomotive & Rolling Stock, China National Offshore Oil Corporation, Beijing Nonferrous Metal Research Institute to cite a few. According to an auto industry personage, the association will build an effective interior information exchange and sharing system and a protection mechanism to solve information- sharing problems”.
