Europese Commissie Vraagt Uw Input voor Biodiversiteitsbeleid tot 2020

De Europese Commissie heeft een internetenquête opgezet om input te verzamelen voor het Europese biodiversiteitsbeleid tot 2020.
Eerder bleek al dat het niet is gelukt om in 2010 het biodiversiteitsverlies een halt toe te roepen. Zo wordt een derde van de onderzochte planten- en diersoorten nog steeds met uitsterven bedreigd.
Natuurorganisaties, wetenschappers, overheden, bedrijven en individuele burgers kunnen nog tot 22 oktober hun mening geven over onderwerpen als de tekortkomingen van het huidige beleid, de nieuwe aanpak die de EC voorstelt, landbouw en biodiversiteit, de economische aspecten van biodiversiteit en het beheer binnen en buiten de Europese Unie.
De EC zal de nieuwe strategie naar verwachting begin volgend jaar vaststellen.
