Bee World: Nature and People Thriving Together in South London

Volunteers at a South London homeless shelter created a Bee World – a wildflower haven to help bees thrive. The Bee World has had a great impact on local wildlife, as well as the residents and their local community.
Since the 1930s, the UK has lost 97% of its important natural grassland. Disappearing green spaces are making life difficult for bees.
Friends of the Earth’s Bee Worlds project aims to cover the UK in bee-friendly wildflowers.
