Alberta First Nations Demand Canada To Protect Woodland Caribou
Geschreven op 18-7-2010 - Erik van Erne. Geplaatst in NatuurCanada’s woodland caribou have been around for tens of thousands of years. They have been central to many of Canada’s First Nations. Hundreds of Canadian places and even sports teams are named after them. Woodland caribou are a national symbol carried in the pocket of almost every Canadian. But they are disappearing.
Because of the over development of their home, Canada’s Boreal forest, they are no longer found in Prince Edward Island, New Brunswick or Nova Scotia. Unless we do something now, they will be gone forever. If we lose the Canadian woodland caribou, we lose a piece of Canada.
Help save a Canadian icon for future generations. Sign the caribou pledge. Become a fan. Because Canada’s woodland caribou need your help. Source Nation Talk
