Update 28 juni 2010: Zo, de winnaar van de European Solar Decathlon 2010 is bekend.
De eerste plaats gaat naar de studenten van Virginia Polytechnic Institute & State University met het Lumenhaus. Van Harte gefeliciteerd.

19 juni 2010: Mooi hoor. De European Solar Decathlon 2010 is officieel geopend.
De inzendingen van de deelnemende universiteiten zijn in Madrid nog te bewonderen tot en met zondag 27 juni 2010.

1 februari 2010: Mooie competitie is dat toch. Op heel praktische wijze gaan studenten uit de gehele wereld met elkaar de competitie aan om een super duurzaam energie huis te ontwerpen. De negentien deelnemende teams gaan hun ontwerp ook echt realiseren in het Solar Village in Madrid.
In juni 2010 moet het klaar zijn en kunnen bezoekers genieten van de meest fantastische ontwerpen. Bij de deelnemende teams aan de Solar Decathlon Europe 2010 doen geen Nederlandse teams mee. Wel van de partij zijn:

Stop the Solar Decathlon Boycott! Promote Education & Peace
— Israeli Jewish and Arab students make their case, in Hebrew, Arabic and Spanish. Energy conservation and sustainability is one of the major issues facing the planet. Students worldwide are competing in The Solar Decathlon, to be held in Spain in June 2010, to try and find solutions to our common problem. Israeli students in the competition found an ingenious way of making homes more efficient so why have these students been kicked out of the competition?
