Climate Change Wave of Action: Time to Sow the Seed
Geschreven op 26-10-2010 - Erik van Erne. Geplaatst in KlimaatFood. It’s a basic necessity. But right now, climate change is wiping out crops. Making it impossible for the poorest people, especially women, to provide food for their families. World leaders have the power to protect food supplies and save lives. Make sure they get the idea. Sow the Seed
Between 10 to 17 October 2010, people from around the world took part in a wave of action on climate change. From activists across Europe, to carbon-curbing cyclists, to farmers in Ethiopia — thousands of people took part in mor than 30 countries. During the week, Oxfam launched its new campaign, Sow the Seed, calling for food producers in developing countries to be given the financial support they need to cope with the impact of climate change.
