West/Kleenspeed WX10-T: The First All-Electric Sports Race Car

Geplaatst in Iets anders6 March 2018: The 2017 state of the art WEST LMX (formerly LMP4) was engineered by one of the biggest race car design houses in the USA using latest computer fluid dynamics (CFD) and Computer Aided Design (CAD) software to engineer the very best aerodynamic package available in the Sports Racer market today.
Since the initial 2010 release of the WX10, over US$2m has been invested in aerodynamic improvements, suspension, chassis, engine packages and drive train development including weeks of wind tunnel testing, CFD modelling and total re-development of the suspension by Level 5’s LMP2 engineering team delivered the most aerodynamic efficient and fastest DSR car on the planet.

West Race Cars en KleenSpeed Technologies hebben een gezamenlijk een elektrische raceauto ontwikkeld, de WX10-T.
Hij is voorzien van een 150 kW sterke motor waarmee een top van 240 m/u gehaald wordt. De accupakketten gaan zo’n 45 minuten mee en kunnen binnen 45 seconden worden gewisseld tijdens de races.

Refuel 2010 at Laguna Seca gives Kleenspeed 2nd SportElectric TT trophy
The recently held Refuel 2010 gave some electric vehicle owners and developers an opportunity to have some Laguna Seca track time and a shot at trophies for the quickest hot lap. For the second year in a row, the Kleenspeed West WX10 claimed that honor by beating all comers – and last year’s record – with a time of 1:42.5. Read more at Autoblog Green
