KAZMOK re-use: New Bags made from Conveyor Belts by Dinand Stufkens
Geschreven op 20-9-2010 - Erik van Erne. Geplaatst in Design, Hergebruik-KringloopEach bag has a story, but when it comes to new bags, the story has to develop. KAZMOK re-use presents bags that already carry a story with them: the bags are made of used conveyor belts.
Designer Dinand Stufkens: “The conveyor belts are given a second life as a bag, and each bag is unique due to the wears and scars of the conveyor belts. A bag with a previous life is a bag with a story.”
The KAZMOK re-use branded products consist of a series of briefcases and accessories, like laptop sleeves and belts. The material of which these products are made make them unique. The old conveyor belts have already had a previous life in e.g. the flower industry, the postal services or the recycling industry before becoming a bag. The material is extremely strong, and therefore very suitable for bags. The colours of the conveyor belts vary, causing each product to be different.
