First Sight The Movie: Sense and Sustainability Fashion Show New York
Geschreven op 3-4-2010 - Erik van Erne. Geplaatst in Goed DoelThere are currently 45 million visually impaired people in India, including 12 million people who are totally blind. This represents 25% of the world’s blind population. Up to 85% of cases are curable.
In conjunction with the Sankara Foundation goal is to travel to India to make a documentary film investigating the serious problems of eye disease and blindness. We will follow several patients as they pass through the Sankara system, giving them the gift of sight. We’ll visit several of the facilities setup by the foundation and speak with the doctors/support staff on the ground.
A “First Sight” Fundraiser event 6-9pm, Fri April 9th, 2010, at Aicon Gallery, 35 Great Jones Street, New York City.
