LG to release their first Nano Tech powered 3D TV with the LEX8 at IFA 2010

The LEX8 NANO FULL LED TV pushes the boundaries of viewing pleasure with its NANO Lighting Technology, which produces LG’s brightest, clearest and smoothest picture yet. An extremely thin film printed with minuscule dots positioned in front of a full array of LEDs disperses light more evenly and effectively across the screen, creating pictures that are clearer, enticingly smoother and more refined. What’s more, an Anti-Reflection Panel on the LEX8 screen minimizes reflection from an external light source – including sunlight — ensuring the picture always stays crystal clear.

The LEX8 boasts improved localized dimming in both 2D and 3D with its Micro Pixel Control. By manipulating individual LED blocks, Micro Pixel Control adds even greater range and life to colors, from the deepest, darkest blacks to the most natural colors.

The LEX8 is further enhanced by LG’s TruMotion 400Hz, which delivers super-fast processing rate for moving images making them virtually blur-free. The overall effect is a picture so smooth, sharp and realistic, it’s as if the action is playing out right in viewers’ living rooms. Read more at Akihabara News

Panasonic aims to become a Green Innovation Company: The Mini Eco House at IFA 2010

A “mini eco house” placed in front of the stage. It is a European interpretation of the Eco Ideas House in Japan and it expresses how Panasonic’s products can help realize a green, comfortable lifestyle.

As announced during the press conference held on September 1, Panasonic will aim to become the “‘No.1 Green Innovation Company’ in the electronics industry” by 2018, its 100th anniversary. To make this transformation, so that it can be recognized as such by customers around the world, Panasonic pledged to place ecology at the heart of all its business activities.

What lies behind this is the “shift to a sustainable society” that the world has been tasked with as a result of various environmental issues such as global warming and the exhaustion of resources we are facing. Panasonic has lead the way in tackling this task, and it aims to become a company that will offer a sustainable, safer, more comfortable and enjoyable lifestyle to people around the world through its business activities, products, and services.

The core pillars that realize this vision are the “Green Life Innovation,” which will offer a comfortable green lifestyle with “ideas” Panasonic offers and the “Green Business Innovation,” which aims to minimize environmental impact throughout the entire business processes and to share know-how with the public.

A specific example of such business activities is the “Energy Systems Business” that aims to make efficient use of energy. Panasonic is shifting its Energy Systems Business into high gear worldwide, including the European region. Panasonic’s “Energy Solution,” which is founded upon 4 pillars, “create energy,” “store energy,” “save energy,” and “energy management,” is one such example.

After introducing the vision and concept to describe the various elements in detail, the MC on stage guides the visitors around the whole corner. I will introduce various “ideas” that are being showcased here in Germany, a nation known for being environmentally advanced. Source Blog Panasonic

LG Introduces a New Era of Entertainment Sharing at IFA 2010: LG Optimus 7 Smartphone

LG Electronics is showcasing a major breakthrough in mobile and home convergence at this year’s IFA trade show in Berlin. The new technology makes it possible to share multimedia files on LG’s upcoming LG Optimus 7 and all DLNA compliant digital devices at the touch of a finger.

LG’s unique multimedia sharing technology on LG Optimus 7 allows users to enjoy content on the phone across today’s digital platforms with a simple finger flick. This preinstalled feature allows users to send files directly from the phone’s media galleries, without having to leave for another application.

The phone will automatically display compatible devices in the same Wi-Fi zone and let users literally flick media files to the targeted device. Users can transfer multimedia saved on their phones — 720p HD videos, high-resolution photos and high-quality music files — wirelessly to their TV or home theater system.

This unique media file-sharing technology will be embedded in upcoming LG Optimus 7 smartphones, which go on sale early in the fourth quarter of this year.
