Geschreven op 22-9-2010 - Erik van Erne. Geplaatst in Agenda, Design, Vervoer en OVMercedes-Benz Smart car division will unveil a new concept, dubbed the E-Scooter at the Paris Motor Show.
The new concept features two wheels on a single track and will have plug-in capability, which means users could simply charge up the scooter in their own homes.
Few other details are known but it’s expected that the Smart E-Scooter will feature an electric motor running on lithium-ion batteries and powering the rear wheel. Driving range is expected to be around 60 miles.
The Smart brand was originally established to tackle the need for improved mobility, especially in congested city environments. However, up to now it has concentrated its efforts on four-wheel solutions. The next stage is to look at how to expand beyond this with other environmentally friendly vehicles, such as the E-Scooter.
